Prithwiraj Chaudhuri was a final-year NIFT student when he designed the Olavu Chronograph. The case is recycled aluminium from automotive engines. The dial is Channapatna lacquer work — a Karnataka craft tradition where artisans apply natural pigments from local soil to handturned wooden bases. The watch earned a global design patent in July 2025. India's most sustainable micro-brand watch, built by India's youngest watchmaker.
