The Story
“A blue fumé that deepens from blue at the centre to black at the edge, the colour of the Earth's horizon seen from low orbit.
The Apogee is BWC's space watch, a tribute to an Indian space programme that began by moving rocket parts on bicycles and bullock carts and has since reached Mars. The Horizon puts a blue fumé dial with a light sunray finish into the Apogee's cushion case, made of what BWC calls Cerasteel, a steel unibody with a matte grey ceramic coating, set off by two steel crowns and a polished steel caseback. It measures 40mm across, 44mm lug to lug and 12mm tall, and runs a Swiss Sellita SW200-1 automatic behind sapphire, with 100m water resistance, on an oil-pulled leather strap. Supernova and Earthshine are the other dials. Next to the limited Karman Line and Visitor, this is the Apogee you can actually buy, at a little over half their price.

The most premium Indian micro-brand. Founded by husband-wife duo Nirupesh Joshi and Mercy Amalraj, BWC tells the story of modern India — ISRO space missions, the Indian Air Force, the INS Vikrant aircraft carrier, and cricket. Their Apogee series became the first Indian watch to be space-qualified and tested at the Karman Line. The Admiral edition used actual steel from INS Vikrant.
