The Story
“The grey-coloured dial is reminiscent of the hull of the Aircraft Carrier INS Vikrant, with blue hour markers and the blue tip of the seconds hand recalling the high seas the carrier once patrolled.
INS Vikrant was India's first aircraft carrier — commissioned in 1961, decommissioned in 1997, and broken up at Alang. BWC acquired steel from the ship's hull before it was scrapped. 70 uniquely numbered pieces of the Mach 1 Admiral use that steel in the case back. A watch made from the Navy.

Bangalore Watch Company
Founded 2018 · Bengaluru · Nirupesh Joshi & Mercy Amalraj
The most premium Indian micro-brand. Founded by husband-wife duo Nirupesh Joshi and Mercy Amalraj, BWC tells the story of modern India — ISRO space missions, the Indian Air Force, the INS Vikrant aircraft carrier, and cricket. Their Apogee series became the first Indian watch to be space-qualified and tested at the Karman Line. The Admiral edition used actual steel from INS Vikrant.
“21st century India. On your wrist.”
