Peninsula Carbon is BWC's most pointed watch: a 100-piece limited edition whose dial is made from ReforgeCarbon, a forged-carbon composite bound with carbon black recovered by pyrolysis from industrial waste. In place of a minute track it carries a mock AQI scale, graduated from 50 to 500 and shaded from green to amber, which anyone who has spent a winter in an Indian city will read instantly. Underneath is the Peninsula platform: a lugless 44mm steel case, a super-domed sapphire crystal, 200m water resistance and a Swiss Sellita SW200-1 automatic on an FKM rubber strap. BWC calls it a cultural claim rather than a sustainability statement, which is the honest way to describe a ₹2.83 lakh watch. It is a rare Indian luxury watch about the present rather than the past.
