The Story

Dasara is Ajwain's tribute to the Mysuru Nada Habba, the ten-day festival the Wodeyar kings made famous, and it is unapologetically Kannadiga: the dial carries the Gandaberunda, the two-headed bird that was the Mysuru royal emblem and is now Karnataka's state emblem, with ದಸರಾ written beneath and the hours in Kannada numerals. There are four dials: Kannadadhwaja in the yellow and red of the state flag (shown), Chaluva in black and gold, Hoysala in silver and blue, and Ambari in royal blue. The 39mm case is a slim 9.5mm thanks to a Miyota 9039 automatic, with sapphire and 50m water resistance. Ajwain makes it in limited batches, in steel, gold or rose gold.
