The Story
“The cockpit clock of the MiG-21 — the fighter that guarded Indian skies for over six decades. Two sub-dials at 12 and 6, a black instrument dial, and a tricolour flash at the pivot: the Bison wears the Indian Air Force on the wrist.
The Vayu Bison takes its cues from the MiG-21 — the 'Fishbed' that protected Indian airspace for over 62 years, longer than almost any combat aircraft in service anywhere. DWC modelled the dial on the timekeeping instrument set inside the cockpit: two sub-dials at 12 and 6, high-contrast markers, and a tricolour accent at the centre. A meca-quartz pilot's watch that flies the flag for Indian military aviation.
