OATH is a women-first Indian watch brand from Jaipur, founded by Tarushi and Palak Chhabra and launched in May 2026. It makes four quartz collections sized 27.9–31.8mm: Ember (₹4,999), Clover (₹5,499), Reverie (₹5,999) and Reign (₹5,999), with Japanese movements, sapphire crystals on Reign and Clover, and a two-year warranty. Here is what each collection is, what is good, what to check, and which one to buy.
Most Indian watch brands make a men's watch first and a smaller "ladies" version later, if at all. OATH starts from the other end. The Jaipur brand, founded by Tarushi and Palak Chhabra and launched in May 2026, describes itself as "a women-first watch brand", and every watch it makes is between 27.9mm and 31.8mm.
It is the first Indian brand in our index built around women from the start, and it arrives in a year when Swiss houses are signing Indian actresses to reach the same buyer (what those ambassador and "friend" titles really mean).
The gap OATH is aiming at
The founders explain the brand in one observation: women buy watches, gift watches and style watches, yet very few watch brands are "truly built around her". The category, they write, "felt split between disposable fashion and traditional luxury, with very little in between".
That is a fair description of the Indian market. Under ₹3,000 are fashion labels on marketplaces. Above ₹50,000 are the Swiss brands. In between, for women, there is Titan's Raga line and very little that is independent. OATH is priced squarely in that gap, at ₹4,999 to ₹5,999.
The company behind it is Perfectly Average Jewellery Pvt Ltd, registered in Jaipur. The jewellery background shows: OATH talks about bezels, bangles and clasps as much as movements.
The four collections
| Collection | Case | Crystal | Strap | Price |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Ember | 27.9mm | Mineral | Crystal-set bangle with chain | ₹4,999 |
| Clover | 28.6mm quatrefoil, 8mm thick | Sapphire | Hand-stitched leather | ₹5,499 |
| Reverie | 30mm, stone-set bezel | Mineral | Perforated leather | ₹5,999 |
| Reign | 31.8mm octagonal, stone-set bezel | Sapphire | Steel bracelet, butterfly clasp | ₹5,999 |
All four use a Japanese quartz movement (OATH doesn't name the calibre), a stainless steel case and a two-year warranty. Water resistance is 3 ATM where stated, which means fine for rain and handwashing but not for swimming. There are sixteen versions in all. Ember comes in Ruby, Onyx, Opal, Sapphire and Emerald dials (the Sapphire and Emerald were sold out when we checked). Clover comes in Merlot, Dune and Ivory Gold, with a sunburst dial in a four-lobed case. Reverie pairs a guilloché wave dial with Emerald, Indigo, Rosewood and Onyx straps. Reign comes in Silver, Cobalt Silver, Dual Tone and Amber Gold.

What is good
- The sizes are right. 28–32mm is where most women's watches should be, and OATH offers four different shapes in that range: round, quatrefoil, octagonal and bangle.
- Sapphire at ₹5,499–5,999. Reign and Clover have sapphire crystals, which is more than most fashion brands at twice the price offer.
- Properly finished bracelets and clasps. Reign's fully linked bracelet with a butterfly clasp is the kind of detail cheaper watches skip.
- A clear two-year warranty, and free shipping across India.
What to check before buying
- Ember and Reverie use mineral glass, which scratches more easily than sapphire. For a watch worn every day, choose Reign or Clover.
- "Diamond-set" bezel: OATH uses that phrase for Reign and Reverie but doesn't say whether the stones are natural diamonds. At this price, assume set crystals and ask the brand if it matters to you.
- The returns window is short. Read the returns policy on the site before ordering, especially if the watch is a gift.
- It is a fashion-led brand. OATH sells emotion, milestones and styling more than horology. That's a deliberate choice, but buyers who want movement details will find few of them.
Which one to buy
The Reign Silver. It is OATH's most complete watch: the largest case at 31.8mm, sapphire, a steel bracelet and the most versatile look. It is also one of the brand's best-sellers. If you want colour, the same watch comes in Cobalt Silver, Dual Tone and Amber Gold, all linked from its page. For something that reads more like jewellery, the Ember is the one, but treat it as a special-occasion piece because of the mineral glass.

Where it fits among Indian women's watches
Until now the best women's watch from an Indian independent was the Avarth Chandini, a Swiss-movement, sapphire dress watch with Devanagari numerals at ₹5,475, but it is sold out. That leaves OATH as the in-stock choice in the same price range. It is now in our best Indian watches under ₹10,000 guide.
