“The 1947 One Rupee tiger coin at its most opulent — the certified British India rupee framed by a full pavé of VVS natural diamonds, the walking tiger rendered in gilt against the last coinage of the Raj.
This is the top of the Baagh tree — the same certified 1947 One Rupee tiger coin that anchors the collection, but set in a case hand-studded with VVS natural diamonds and finished in gold. Beneath the pavé runs a Miyota 8215 automatic under front-and-back sapphire, and the walking tiger — that near-twin of the Make in India emblem — stares out from a bed of stones. At ₹3.05 lakh it is jewellery as much as horology, and it makes the argument that a numismatic Indian micro-brand can play in the same register as a Jaipur kundan house. Defiantly, unapologetically maximalist.
