The Story
“A 1946 British India Quarter Rupee with its walking tiger at the centre of a gilt dial, surrounded by rotating hour and minute discs.
Baagh IV is the fourth generation of Jaipur Watch Company's tiger coin watch, and the first built around the 1946 Quarter Rupee rather than the One Rupee. JWC says these small coins were minted in very limited numbers and were hard to source. Time is read from rotating hour and minute discs around the coin instead of hands, so the tiger is never covered. It moves up to a Miyota 8315 automatic with a 60-hour power reserve and a walking tiger on the rotor, in a 43mm case with sapphire front and back. It launched in October 2026 in gold-plated and steel cases.
