The Story
“A genuine One Naya Paisa coin from 1957–63, the first decimal coinage of independent India, floating at the centre while a minute ring and rotating hour disc travel around it.
Kings Wristwear IV takes a genuine One Naya Paisa coin, from India's first decimal coinage minted between 1957 and 1963, and floats it at the centre of the dial. Time is read from a minute hand and a rotating hour disc that move around the coin, so nothing ever covers it. The rounded-square 42mm steel case is brushed with polished edges, and a Miyota 8215 automatic is visible through the exhibition caseback. The year on the coin varies within that range. JWC built its name on coin watches, and this is one of its cleverest layouts.
