The Story
“Tiger's eye cut along the grain so the stone's chatoyancy sweeps across the dial as the wrist turns — a band of light moving through amber and brown like a torch passed over silk.
Tiger's eye is the show-off of the Flip Watch quartet: cut correctly, the stone's fibrous structure throws a moving band of light across the dial every time the wrist turns. It sits in the same 40 × 30mm reversible steel case as the rest of the collection, over a Miyota 2025 quartz, with the polo-mallet caseback that explains what the watch is for. Jaipur Watch Company also uses tiger's eye elsewhere in its range, but nowhere does the stone get a better stage than a flat rectangular dial. Limited to 75 pieces.
